Everyone Pees Outside
Hey,
That is so fetching crazy that Braxten is home. Haha what a Pimp. :) And just so you know it hasnt been a hard or distracting week. I really dont think about home and only thought about it once that he was home. Dont worry about me getting distracted or what not. I have more important things to think about. Is CJ bigger than braxten? Does he sound like a mexican when he speaks english? Everyone pees outside old young male female its all the same to them. Sounds like everyone is doing good back home. Haha that is funny that Paul said that and cool that Paul spoke. I am sure that Skylar didnt care and laughed about it. Was Lacey really there? They should have Dad speak for Braxtens. Yea i have a new companion and he is really cool. He graduated in 2009! Haha i feel like an old man. He played keeper at Hillcrest and my senior year we played against him. If you could find out who won that would be appreciated. I will be with him for Christmas. Elder Jesson is his name. Haha is probably took Chin 2 months to write that letter. Who is the Bishop? Will you find out when Dixie States summer school starts please? Nothing to exciting has gone on here for the most part. It was fun to be in Dnepr last week and see a bunch of my friends. For the package can you go buy a CTR ring size 5 1/2 called Forget me not. A member wants one here for his girlfriend. Haha sorry about all of the requests but everyone does appreciate them. Hey,
Whats going on? Everything here is same old stuff. Which means good same old stuff but still same old stuff. People are still freaking out about this swine flu thing. Alot of people wear masks and i just cough when i walk by them haha its pretty funny. Thats good that Skylar is back. Haha tell him he better write me. The new area is good for the most part. We have made some good things happen out of an area that wasnt worked very well for like 5 months. I came here in the 4th week of the transfer so i have only been with my comp now for 2 weeks but transfer calls were last week and he is getting transfered so i will have a new comp next week. The reason i got transfered here is because i was in a 3 some in simferopol and there was a 3 some here and i just had to wait in simferopol until i could get registered here in poltava and it just took 3 weeks to do it. There is one guy that we are working with that has some potential i think. But like 2 weeks ago we were writing a bus to the branch and i saw these 3 black people get on. So like usual i go and talk to my dark skinned brothers. Turns out they speak french and a little bit of english so we understand each other enough for me to get this guys number. They are from camorron by the way. Anyways so i am waiting until i get a french book of mormon to call them. But the Branch Presidents wife here served a mission to franch and speaks it perfectly so i had her call him and we set up for an appointment. So only this one guy comes named Viktor. And they are talking and we walked with him from this park to the branch where there is a french book of mormon. Anyways i show it to him and he is like Wow and says something in french and the lady that is with us is like she speaks perfect english and is like oh my gosh he is a member. Haha so i have her ask him about Joseph Smith and he tells her everything about him. So yea come to find out her got baptized a year ago in camorron and came here and didnt know that there was a branch here so "somehow" we just happen to be on the same bus as him and such. It was amazing. I am grateful to the Lord that i was able to find him. Such an amazing feeling. Anyways so yea now there is a black guy in the branch. :) But sounds like everything is going well back home. That stinks that Mike Sharp punched someone. Grandma Staheli sent me something about all the southern utah teams and said that he pretty much is there offense. Oh well. Haha that is so funny that Jani was talking to Kolby. She was probably hitting on him. Haha i love that kid. Anyways rumor on the street is we get to go to Dnepr for thanksgiving and play football against the other zones. Haha i am way excited. Also we might get to watch the Utah Alabama game. That would be so sweet. Anyways everything is going well here. Love you.Elder Hukill

13 Hour Train Ride

Hey,
Well i made it here after my 13 hour train ride which i slept for seriously 11 hours. It felt so good. But right when i got off of the train i could see my breath and i definatly knew i wasnt in Crimea anymore. Back to Ukraine where everything is flat. That is crazy that Skylar comes home this week. Give him a hug for me. I think Dak is in Georgia but i dont know where. I still have my other coat but the coat i found is way thick and perfect for this place and but unfortunatly doesnt have a fur hood. The place i am in though is alright. My apartment isnt as nice but its not bad. We had no investigators when i came and i think i have done more street contacting this past week then Braxten and Skylar have done combined. Haha. But we got some contacts so things are going surely but slowly. I am not in it enough to worry about it. The branch here is probably the best in the mission with like 20 priesthood holders. Yesterday though i almost killed myself in sacrament i was so bored. Members need to learn that a testimony is like 2 minutes about a gospel principal. Not a fetching life story. Haha but whatever. Church was only 2 hours because i guess the swine flu is coming or somthing so some people are walking around here with masks and refuse to go outside. Also yesterday when we went to church someone had burnt this outside shield thing of the church and some other stuff. It was pretty crazy but the branch is fine. Crazy Ukrainians. I wasnt scared though when i was in Kherson alone. It was just a crazy feeling being alone. That is sweet that Alex Smith is the starter again. What is the kids name that plays at Utah? Is he white or black? That is sweet the Yankees are in the playoffs. Haha i really do like the Yankees. I am not Zone Leader here right now because i came halfway through the transfer and there were already ones but i think i will be at transfers. It is pretty cold here though but we havent had any snow thankfully. And the guy that you sent the scriptures for is from Camorron. When did Grandma and Grandpa Hukill serve in Colordo? Ask them if they knew a Ukrainian elder. If so he is from the branch i am serving in. Who sent the email and picture from Zone conference? I am way sorry to hear about Uncle Don. That fetching sucks so bad. Plan of Salvation is amazing though. Well i dont really know what else to say. I hope the family is doing alright. I will start to pray for him. Well thanks for doing that stuff for Valaree. You can just send it like normal in a package and then i will take care of it ffrom there. Right now i am in a city called Kherson. Maybe you remember me talking about it since this is where i would come when i was a greenie for Zone Conference. I left Simeropol last night at 11pm and got here at 4 in the morning. Haha the Elders picking me up were late so i was standing in the middle of Ukraine freezing at 4 in the morning. HAha it was quite the feeling but it was fun. Tonight i leave here at 7pm and get to poltava at 8am so a nice long 13 hour train ride which i will probably sleep the whole way since i slept like 4 hours last night. Anyways all is good. Man it is so crazy that everyone is already home. Haha i guess now i know how they feel when i was still at home and they were out here. I weigh 160 though. :) So crazy how soon everyone comes home and stuff. Haha that would be so amazing if it really were the Prophet there at the game. Let me know if you find out for sure. Also send me the picture if you can I am going to tell everyone that it was though. :) Suckers. Braxten did tell me about Jon being sick and stuff. That is so crazy. Has he been sick his whole mission? I am glad that i havent gotten to terrible sick yet. That is crazy about missionaries doing that though. But some missionaries are idiots. They may look the part but they definatly are idiots. That is definatly one thing that was pretty disappointing when i came to hear how dumb some missionaries were. But i guess you cant be to hard on them they still are 19 year old kids. Nothing to excting went on last week except for the fact that i was packing and doing all of that fun stuff again. I seriously cant believe i am already moving cities. Only 3 and a half months to my usual 5 1/2. I loved simferopol. We had been teaching this girl who when we started was atheist and then yesterday she came to church. It was awesome to see the change in her because of the gospel. Well there is nothing much else to say that is going on. Pray that i dont freeze to death. Haha i found a big warm jacket in my apartment that i took with me so i should be fine. It will definatly be quite the experience. Well love you guys.

Whats going on? Well i am still in the Crimea so that is good. I still dont know when i am leaving so its kind of annoying but whatever. I am just glad to still be here before i go up there and freeze my butt off. That is crazy how soon everyone is coming home. The talent show was way cool and nigerians speak english but it is really hard to understand them. I have gotten used to their accent but when i first would talk to them i had no idea what was going on. We played soccer with them the other day in this indoor place and it was pretty fun. They are so good haha. But i held my own for being the only white boy out there. There are only africans in simferopol because of the medical school. But the shoe thing just send the picture to them and have them send the new ones to you and keep them there at home until i get home. I do have another pair and i am still wearing that other pair. But it will be nice to come home to a brand new pair of shoes for free. I dont know what will happen when i leave here and if i will be able to talk to Ben. I am sure i could if i asked President. That is cool McKenzie is dating somebody. Even though he has been married before. How old is she? Chad Winward is home? I didnt think he was suppose to come home until January or something like that. Oh well. Things out here are going fine though for the most part. Nothing to exctiting new to report on. We watched the Priesthood Session the other day in english and it was really awesome. Expect tickets to Utah vs Notre Dame

Hey,
Whats going on? Everything here is going well. Both of the people were sisters so that was really cool. Yea things here are way sweet which is why it stinks so bad i am going to the North Pole. But whatever. We got to watch conference this last weekend and it was way sweet. Elder Holland is a slayer that is for sure. They all are. Ben really liked them as well so that was really cool. Yea of course we have fast and testimony meetings here. Haha the church is the same everywhere even if it is in Ukraine and we have other problems. But parents definetly dont take their kids up to the front. Tell Grandma thanks for all the packages. Each companionship does have a cell phone and most people here at least the youth have a cell phone. Sounds like sports are going way sweet. Tell Brian i still expect tickets to the Norte Dame game next year. The fleet is still here. I dont really want to go to the office. You just have to put up with other peoples crap and so yea dont really want to. The bargaining thing is just with ties and other things like that. Even Taxis though are fun to try to get cheaper even if it does work or you only save like 1 grieven which is 12 cents. So on Saturday was a Nigerian indepence thing and so we went and it was this huge talent show and there were a lot of people and so we sat in the front row and i got called up twice on stage. Haha the first time to get a nigerian flag pin and the 2nd to sing a michael jackson song with people about love and stuff. It was pretty fun and it was cool because the nigerians were really glad that we came and so it was a good relationship builder. Also the mission doctor was down this weekend and i was talking to him and we were with Ben and the doctor guy said that if the Church has to it will send a hosptial plane to come and get us. So i thought that was pretty cool. I just thought for transfers i was staying here and elder richardson was going to go to the other companionship. But anyways guess i was wrong. I think next week i will be in Poltava where its freezing. I am still wearing a short sleeve shirt here. Haha anyways love you guys and hope everything is well. Transferred to the Coldest Part of Ukraine

Hey,
I cant believe it is already October. Fetching crazy. I am writing late today since we got permission from President Nelson to go to Sevastopol for P-Day. It was really sweet. We went to this old submarine base and stuff. I enjoyed it. That sucks Natalie couldnt finish the race but good to hear the rest of the Hukills pulled through though and didnt quit. We had 2 more people get baptized last weekend. It was really awesome. I baptized one and confirmed one and my companion baptized the other and Elder McIntosh confirmed her. They are really awesome. The Lord has really blessed us here to find awesome people to teach. Dnepr though was really fun but my mind got blown. Normally i have an idea whats going on with transfers and this time i thought i did too. But come to find out i am now in a 3 some with my greenie and an Elder Richardson. He is really awesome. Him and I are the Zone Leaders but President shocked me by saying i am getting transfered to a city called poltava in a few weeks! It sucks since i just barely came here. But there is an Elder who has had crappy companions so President is sticking me with him. It is the COLDEST part of the mission and right now i am in the warmest so its not cool. But oh well. Just do what i am told. In Poltava they have the strongest branch in the mission so thats good at least. I got all of the packages and thanks for all the food. Everyone else says thanks as well. I got the letter from Grandpa too. Nothing to exciting though going on around here except for the fact i am getting an early transfer. At our branch here we have a satalite so we tried to watch conference last night at 7pm (10 am for you) and we are all excited to watch it live. So we go and they start talking and its in a completly different language. Not even russian. Haha so it was kind of disappointing but oh well. I laughed. But anyways thats about all going on. Seal Was So Sweet

Hey,
I am glad that Ben emailed you guys last week. He is the coolest person i know. I love him. Haha yea that seal was pretty sweet. Everyone was laughing pretty good who was there. The dolphin show was pretty cool too. I should get those packages this week since i am going to Dnepr for Zone Leaders Council. Haha nice little vacation to see everyone. Carters live somewhere in northern utah. I cant remember for sure. Actually just remembered. Manaway or something like that. They are amazing. That is cool that everyone is going to run the marathon. Good to hear that Michael is even alive. Been awhile. There are probably 10 kids in the branch and 5 youth. They dont have things like that here. I dont think anyways. There are drunk people no matter where you go. Its Ukraine. I cant believe that Big Jon has a kid. Holy cow that is so crazy. If you see him tell him i say hi and congrats. But anyways things here are going well. We have someone on date for this week but she needs to meet with the mission president or one of his counsulors first. The other Elders have someone on date as well so if all goes wel it will a double baptism. They have to meet with someone higher than us because they have had abortions. It is a really common thing here. It sucks. Satan Sucks. But anyways all will go well. We also went out to the village in our zone and saw the Elders out there. We played soccer against the kids there and owned them. Then the next morning i took a shower in this ghetto outside shower thing. I would have to live out there. Good times though. I am glad that Ben emailed you guys last week. He is the coolest person i know. I love him. Haha yea that seal was pretty sweet. Everyone was laughing pretty good who was there. The dolphin show was pretty cool too. I should get those packages this week since i am going to Dnepr for Zone Leaders Council. Haha nice little vacation to see everyone. The Church This Week Got At Least One Ghanan Cooler

Hey.
Hows it going? Well I will just start off and say that the Church this week got at least one Ghanan cooler. Ben got baptized on saturday and confirmed yesterday. The quad made it here and he really loved it. He really was elect and i think a key to other africans at the medical univeristy. But Valaree has ditched us a few times so i dont know whats up with him. I think we are just going to leave him for a little bit and wait for him to call us. He needs to do his part. We have this other lady named Valatena who is on date. She just showed up at church and the members introduced us to her and so she is doing good. Also the other elders are teaching this lady that i found when i was with Elder Hertz. She is will be baptized as well. So thing here in Simeropol have really turned around. Zone Conferences arent in Dnepr. They are in Simeropol for our zone and in other cities. The only time i go to Dnepr is for Zone Leaders Council and Transfers. My talk went fine though. Talked about the Atonement and Missionary work. That sucks Utah lost but i am glad BYU got owned. Is Tom Brady still playing or what? The Carters go home next month. The lady is Zap still hasnt been baptized since she cant give up smoking. But she is still around. That is awesome about Kolby speaking. I really like that kid. Haha thats funny about the english thing though. We teach for 2 hours a week. One hour tuesday and one on friday. Its pretty fun. Its probably the most effective way of finding people. Tracting is only something you do if you have nothing else to do. Its really ineffective here. We also have a sign that we stand outside with but thats kind of ineffective as well. Good stories always come from it though. People are crazy. But the way i figure Tracting Signboarding and Street Contacting are ways that you have to pay the price to the Lord for people like Ben. So its worth it. The only time i have fasted on my mission in on fast sundays. Other than that i havent. But anysports reminder are good. They give me something to talk about with other missionaries. Just Get Wet To Say I Took A Shower

First off thanks for doing all that stuff to get the scriptures here. I hope they make it. But Ben's Baptism might get pushed back a week just things came up so yea it might be next week but who knows. But thanks for doing that. He will really like them. He is the coolest person ever. Haha seriously he is the definition of elect. Well him and this other guy from camorroon named Valaree. Valaree is also on date for baptism for the 26 of sept. He loves the Book of Mormon and has been looking for new scripture his whole life so he already has a testimony of it. Yesterday he brought 3 friends with him to the lesson and so we talked about the Book of Mormon. All of the are from Africa and one of them seriously looked like he was going to kill me. Haha seriously i bet he is nice inside but his face looked angry and mean. But so things are going great here. Haha i havent done much with them except be in the right place. We found Valaree through Magic who is also awesome. We also have some good Ukrainian investigators but they arent as elect you could say. Haha but they are still awesome. WE havent played much soccer because school started again and people dont have time anymore. My companion is doing good. He is really smart and uses "big" words. Next year though i am down with flying back here. How much does it cost to fly to kiev?It really is nice. I dont know about my next move though. I think i am going to go to Dnepr though. That sucks about the horse dying though. Haha kind of funny at the same time though. That is cool though that everyone is going to the lake. Haha that seriously is one of the first things i am doing when i get back. Also Dad you need to buy a new wakeboarding boat. :) But yea showering in cold water is not fun. Well survived another week here in the good old Ukraine. Unfortunatly nothing to crazy happened. People just still being mean and others being somewhat nice. Haha. WE dont have any warm water again so i shower like 2 or 3 times a week and just enough to get wet. I hate cold showers. Oh by the way no rush or anything but in one of the next packages will you send some American toothpaste. Thanks. We went on a picnic that was way cool and saw some sweet mountains and things. It was fun. Things for the most part when it comes to investigators are going well. My black brother Ben is on date for baptism for the Sept 13 so hopefully all goes well. We are also trying to start a english gospel principle class though for the Africans. Magic though couldnt meet with us last week but tomorrow we are suppose to meet with him so that will be sweet. I think he has alot of potential. Tell Bud whats up. Man that would have been so sweet to throw 70% of the time. Is Mike Sharp the QB? That is funny about Kipp and sending a Bike. Haha they should have just sent the mission president a wallbed. That sucks that Alex Smith isnt starting. Yesterday we talked with this guy that had been in jail for 9 years for robbing people. Haha he was a pretty funny guy though. My companion thought he was going to rob us though. I cant believe how little time Braxten and Skylar have left. I swear if either of them get married before i go home there is going to be a beat down haha. P-day we usually go bowling or play cards or something. Nothing to excting since there isnt much to do. I should get the packages next week though so thanks. Check your email though tomorrow because i might need you to email you about something for Ben. Hey,
Whats going on? Things here are going well. The bus ride wasnt that bad, I sat next to an Elder who is a really good friend and we seriously talked the whole way there. Didnt sleep at all. Haha left at 8 and got there at 4:30am. Anyways my new companion is really cool. He is from Las Vegas and probably the smartest person i know. He has said a few words in english that i needed a translation for it. He went to BYU. But check this out. So after i picked him up at Presidents we were walking to the branch and then he is like "Hey i dont think you remember but we went to EFY together 3 years ago." Haha then i thought about it and remembered and we really did. So if you can try to find my pictures from EFY when i was at the U that would be sweet. Pretty crazy though eh? But yea we are doing well and i like him alot already. We took a 9 hour train ride back the next day but i slept the whole way since they have beds in the train. But food wise just send like Mac and Cheese. You dont need to but if you want to yea. Top Ramen is good too. Just whatever i dont really care. My area is pretty nice though weather wise. Not to bad. Tell Portia hey. That is crazy about Brett Favre still playing. Old man. Magic though is his first name and his wife is ukrainian. He is a general practiononer. He is awesome and so is Ben from Ghana. That quarterback must be so fast 4.2. That is sweet though. How is Vick doing? So yea yesterday and church we were walking home when this guy is like running and staggering towards us. When all of a sudden he bends down and takes off his pants and shoes and throws them into this river we were walking by. Keeps running takes off his shirt and underwear and throws them in to. So he is just running around butt naked and we had no idea what to do. We were the only ones around and i knew that he was crazy and must have escaped from the medical hospital right by where we were. We found someone and they called the cops. It was pretty funny and crazy at the same time. Oh the things you see in Ukraine. Well hope all is well.

I Wasn't Scared when I came here....

Hey,
First off i am still with my old companion. This week i go to Dnepr to get a greenie but i am sure that he is cool. Haha if he doesnt like sports then he is going to learn to like them. Anyway that is sweet that you dont have church next week. I wish something like that happend here for us. Haha i am sorry but church is still boring to me. :) Oh and i forgot to tell you that here they sing all of the verses on all of the songs. So i have gotten used to singing alot! Still dont like it but i am used to it. That is crazy that everyone is getting home. I cant believe Danny is engaged. That is sweet so if you see him tell him mala dyets. That means good job. But to answer your questions we cook all of our own food so it kind of stinks but i am learning so yea. I hope my greenie will be able to cook well. McDonalds here is actually better than in america including breakfast. Also with my new companion i will still be Zone Leader so its cool. I dont mind being a Zone Leader. I seriously dont feel any different than from being a normal missionary. But i am excited to go back to being the primary speaker with my new comp. MY companion now is older then me so he speaks really well but i speak well too so its all good. I am pretty confident though about speaking and doing everything though. Oh yea and send one of each peanut butter. So we have another new investigator from Nigeria. His name is Magic and is a doctor here. He has lived here for 22 years and has 3 kids who speak russian only. He is really humble and awesome. I seriously dont know why Ukrainians are so hard hearted. I love them to death but seriously they are some hard hearted suckers. I cant believe braxten is 21. I forgot to email him and tell him happy birthday but i did write it in my planner that is was his birthday. Haha. That is crazy Michael Vick is going to play again. I think he deserves another chance. Everyone messes up. So yea thats about all going on over here. Next week i will be able to tell you about my greenie. :) Haha i am going to be a papa. Hey, Sounds like things are good back home. Some old going on so thats good to hear. Tell Kacen i say hey if you see him again. That is so crazy he is back already. Good story from sacrament. This week was pretty good. We went out to a village where two elders live and all i have to say is i am glad i live in the city. Haha especially in the center of the city. It will be weird coming back to a small town but i guess St. George is getting pretty big. We have 3 new investigators from Africa. One from Ghana and the other 2 from Nigeria. They are way sweet especially the one from Ghana whose name is Ben. He asked some awesome questions so i am excited about that. He said he went to the temple open house in ghana so that was pretty cool. The other 2 also said they saw missionaries in Nigeria. Haha but dont worry we also got one Ukrainian new investigator. Haha Ukrainians are so hard hearted especially compared to the Africans. But yea Zone conference was this week so that went well. President told me that i was going to get a little greenie next transfer. Haha i am pretty nervous about that because greenies are just judging little punks who think they know everything. At least that is how i was. I remember complaining about my trainer to you but come to find out he was the best missionarie i have ever served with. That always happens though. Greenies think they know everything but then 4 transfers later they realize how great there trainer was. Anyways so that that will be next thursday. Get to go back to Dnepr on a bus. Haha only 8 hours away. I would be going there either way because that is where Zone Leaders Conference is but now i get to go for that and to get my new son. :) But anyways for church we met in a building that is actually a chapel kind of thing so its cool. I got my package from grandma hukill so that was awesome. Tell her Thanks and that i love her and Grandpa Hukill both. That hockey player who beat up that cabbie is an idiot. When i get back we are going wakeboarding for the first two days straight. Haha. English class is doing really well and we have alot of people coming so its way cool. Why aren't the Nigerians in the World Standings?

I have no idea why the nigerians arent in the world standings. We went and played with them on Satuday and i brought an English Book of Mormon and gave it to one guy and 2 people ended up coming to church. They are so awesome though. They dont speak russian because all of their classes are in english. But they speak a kind of pigeon english. I cant understand it for the life of me but they are teaching me some so its cool. But yea now we have two new investigators that are nigerian and they are pimp. That sucks about my car getting smashed. Haha that sucks for douglas. Air bags and everything to the face. But yea girls pretty much just come in whatever to english. For the most part they come alright but once in a while it sucks. We went to sevastopol again this week because i had to do a baptismal interview and my companion and i saved a hour of P-day and went on a boat ride. Haha its was cool. That is so nasty about the people living in trash and crap. I seriously have no idea how people can do that. Nasty though. So anyways thats about all going on around here. Sounds like Lake Powell was a good time. But Grandpa and Deni didnt even go? That is crazy that it was such a small group. Haha yea next year it will be me and my wife. :) Haha whatever your dream said her name was. My companion and i are both the Zone Leaders so yea we go everywhere together. He is from Salt Lake City and his name is Elder Hertz. I have known him since the beginning of my mission because he was in nikolaev when i got there. He is cool and we get along great. He plays sports to so we play alot of sports to find kids. English is going good and we still teach it and lots of people come. Haha mostly girls though. We try to activate people but most people who go inactive dont want anything to do with us. Sounds like alot of people were at Grandmas. I didnt know Billy got married. Haha tell him good job and i say whats up. Tell Jonathan to write me a letter. Wow Ben still has a long time until he leaves. That is crazy. But i got one package from you and Grandma Staheli so yea. But the people here are really nice and say hello to me but whenever i try to talk about the Book of Mormon they dont want anything to do with it. That is nuts that everybody is starting to come home. So crazy. One thing you can send me are some tide bleach pens. Those things are awesome. We just take busses and Taxis everywhere. But i got to go out again at 3:30am to go pick another Elder up from the train station. Haha seriously there is nobody out. McDonalds is the only place that is American but it is amazing. Today we went there and ate Breakfast and it was amazing. I love McMuffins. Haha but then we have been sitting around all day waiting to get registered in the city. It is crazy how much work goes in to keep us in the country. That is to bad about Wyns dad. Tell them sorry. Anyways thats about all going on here. Hope everything is going well for you.

Sounds like Lake Powell was a good time. But Grandpa and Deni didnt even go? That is crazy that it was such a small group. Haha yea next year it will be me and my wife. :) Haha whatever your dream said her name was. My companion and i are both the Zone Leaders so yea we go everywhere together. He is from Salt Lake City and his name is Elder Hertz. I have known him since the beginning of my mission because he was in nikolaev when i got there. He is cool and we get along great. He plays sports to so we play alot of sports to find kids. English is going good and we still teach it and lots of people come. Haha mostly girls though. Felt Like I Was In Hawaii

Hey,
Whats going on? Well its monday again and i always hate the first week being in a new area because time goes by so slow. But right now i am in a city called sevastopol which is right on the Black Sea and this morning we went on a sweet hike in the mountains and saw the Sea. Its was really sweet. Haha i seriously felt like i was in Hawaii. It was really cool. But we are going to take a boat tour here in a little bit and are going to go see the Russian Fleet. We just were at this place where like nobody knew about during the Cold War and the Russians kept all of their subs there. Pretty cool. But yea the russians pretty much claim the Crimea as theirs but they just let Ukraine hold on to it. During the whole Georgia crisis thing the Russian goverment was passing out Russian passports down here to anybody who wanted one. Nuts. But that is so funny that Brad told that story about me and Chin. Good times. That is cool that you are going to Powell. Haha next year i will be there baby. Haha Kacen and Randon and Taylor should all be getting home soon and that is pretty crazy. My area is pretty nice and the bed is nice. Nobody really will stop and talk about the gospel though but they all say hi. That is cool that Kip is going on a mission and cool that Mcrae is on a mission. My city though isnt to hot but it is really humid so that makes up for it. We dont really have many investigators here like we did in Zap. Anyways things are going good here for the most part. Abraham's Homecoming

Hey,
That is cool that you got to go to the Abrahams homecoming. Haha that is so crazy that they are home. What else did they say? How many missionaries were there? That is cool that you got to see Sessions. Haha my papa! He is awesome. But anyways i made it down here to the Crimea finally and it is really awesome already. We took a fetching 8 hour bus ride from dnepr to here all night so i got here at 6 am on saturday and then at 8 we got to go to another city in the zone called evapotria or something like that in english so i got to see the Sea. It was really cool. Haha i felt like i was in hawaii for a little bit. But yea i think being Zone Leader in the Crimea is the best place to be because you get to go to all of the cities and the other missionaries cant. But its a lot cleaner than Zap is that is for sure. I think the work here is a lot different and alot harder but whatever. There are quite a few members here though and 256 on the roll but only about 60 come i think. I cant believe how many inactives there are in this country. There could be like 3 branches here if everybody came. but people get offended so easy its ridiculous. So dont get offended!That is funny that President talked about Pasha. Pasha is awesome and knows so many words haha. The new mission president is probably the exact opposite of President Abraham. He is quite and doesnt have as much energy but he is awesome. You can really feel the love that he already has for us here. But anyways leaving zap sucked kind of. It is hard because you get to know the people so well and then all of a sudden you have to leave them. But its a part of life and it just keeps on going. The packages are here but i didnt want to haul them down here with the rest of my luggage and President is coming on wedensday anyways so i am just waiting. My apartment here though is quite nice and i even have a queen size bed. Haha i dont use it all since i cuddle up with the wall but its there to use if i want. My companion though is Elder Hertz who i have known since the beginning of my mission in nikolaev and then in zap as well. He is awesome and i am glad to get to be with him. Well anyways that is about all that is going on around here for me. Its sweet to be here and i am grateful the Lord has blessed me and sent me here to the wonderful land of the Crimea. Hope all is well for you.

Back in Ukraine

Hey,
Well sorry about yesterday about not getting an email off. The website wasnt working so yea. Hopefully they sent letters home saying why but if not i hope that you werent to worried. But here i am. Bulgaria was way fun and it was a nice little break but i was definetly ready to come back. It was really cool because we got to see the Elders from the donestk mission so i saw Elder Whitehead and Elder Steele. It was cool. We had some fetching long layovers. We had one in Kiev for 6 hours the first day then 5 on the way home. We even flew to Hungry for a nice 6 hour lay over. But we just stayed in apartments that the Bulgarian mission has for the Ukranian missions to renew our visas. They were really nice. The crazy thing is that the APs are the ones that picked us up from the airport and drove us around everywhere. But Bulgaria was really nice especially compared to Ukraine. It was very European like but i love ukraine so much better. Seriously. Bulgarian is a lot like russian but it was pretty hard to understand. Sometimes i understood alot of what was being said and others not. But we just walked around and saw places. We then got to walk around kiev on thursday for a few hours. Kiev was so sweet. But yea definatly good to be back in the good old ukraine. But yea Ara would lose his job if his work found out that he was baptized. So its just got a good idea for people to know. I am glad that Grandpa Hukill is ok and that is really funny about meeting that guy or whatever. I talked with the donestk elders about that Brayden Mitchell kid i think that you were telling me about or something like that. They said he was really cool. That is crazy about it being the last time in Veyo. What time will church be when i get back? Sounds like everything is going good back home though. We have hot water at least for now but this morning when i woke up our apartment was flooding so i had to run upstairs and wake up the neighbors. Definetly not a good sound. Transfer calls are this week and i am pretty sure i am leaving Zap. Oh man i remember the days of shoveling all of that rock around. So much. Haha fetching Brent i swear he would order to much on purpose so i would have to shovel it off the ground again. The only people though i have heard from is Sam and Skylar Braxten and Kolten and that is not very often. Every once in a while. So we get our new mission president in 2 days. Haha President and Sister Abraham will be back in St. George on the 4th of July. Happy 4th of July. Anyways everything else though is going well. Nothing exciting but that. Well love you all. Going to Bulgaria

Happy Fathers Day yesterday. Sorry I forgot to say that last week. Haha the office even sent out emails to remind us but i still forgot. You dont need to send more wipes mom i still have alot of them just so you know. But do what you want. The water balloons will be sweet thanks. Congrats on the 29 years. How old is Grandpa Staheli? Sounds like it was a pretty good weekend though. Haha i am actually going to Bulgaria tomorrow so that will be cool. Haha just a little comment. Transfers arent for another 2 weeks but i am getting transfered and i think i am going to Dnepr. The J Dubs just use their members so they already know russian. There are so fetching many of them. I just want to start slaying them. :) Vatalee just laughed and was fine about it. I talked to him about it after just to make sure nothing was wrong. Ara said he wants to get baptized on the 4th of July but there is alot of stuff that we are going to have to work with. Since he is a cop like nobody can know so we have like a huge secret going on. Oh and Ara is a boy. Vatalee will be fine though when i leave. Everybody here knows that Obama is President. All they do is talk about America. They think he is alright though. What do they know though people here want to go back to the USSR and all of that good stuff. Seriously everyone here knows more about what is going on then i do. But we have been trying to work with these 3 guys from Nigeria. They are so cool. We play soccer with them alot and just go slay people in it. Its so funny. The Abrahams are suppose to be home on the 4th of July i think. So we still dont have hot water so thats fun. Haha but i get to see Elder Steele tomorrow so that will be cool. Grandpa Is Famous Even Here!!

Good to hear the Penguins won. I remember in 6th grade is when i started liking Hockey. Especially the Penguins. That is when they had "moose" and Mario Leumuex or however you spell his name. That would be crazy if Shaq went to the Cavs. He just got in the way at the Suns so he probably would there as well. What happend to Crosby? Everything is going good over here. Its pretty hot and humid so that always makes for a good time. Especially on transport. Haha and it doesnt matter what i want the water balloons for. :) Just to have you could say. That is good that that lady called. She was really nice and it was fun to hang out with them. I saw President and Sister Abraham yesterday because they were driving through and stopped at the Carters and we were there having a lesson in Ara and Sister Abraham's sister was there and her name was Lorie Gubler or it was or something like that. Her husband was Mont Gubler. Anyway she went to Grandpa and he even delivered one of her kids. She went off and said how much she loved Grandpa and that he was the greatest doctor in the world. Haha its so crazy that i am in Ukraine and still hearing that. HAha Grandpa is even famous here! Ara is hopefully going to get baptized next week but we will see. That is good that you had a good time with the kids. Yesterday we had a good little talk with some J-Dubs. Haha i just thought they were two 20 year old girls but they turned out to be J-Dubs. Vatalee was with us because we are his home teaching companion and we are trying to help him find his people but anyways we slayed them. Haha they tried to pull all this stuff out on us but we got them. Haha good times. Speaking english it would have been alot easier thats for sure. But russian is sweet and i love it. We are still without hot water so its a good thing we have some big pots. Haha. I finished the Book of Mormon in russian last week so that felt good. It was crazy to be able to see the progress from the beginning to the end. Good times. Well life is good over here. Still writing in my journal and everything. Haha see ya.Elder Hukill

Pan Showers are Good

Hey,
Whats going on? I think the Carters sent you an email saying i wouldnt write today but we found 30 minutes to at least write you at tell you what was going on. Zone Conference was really good today and it was President Abrahams last time so i even got a hug from Sister Abraham. I talked about Attitude. In my last interview with President he gave me a really good blessing so that was good. Tell Stephanie that her uncle is a great man. I went to Dnepr on Thursday so that was cool i guess. Hot bus ride though but it was alright. We have 3 new investigators so that is really good. They are hard to come by these days but its going good. Elder Murray and I are doing good. Anna our investigator who smokes we are still working with her. So hopefully soon she will just quit and that will be that. That is funny about Makenna and Camryn. Good times. That is crazy that the Cavs lost. So much for team Lebron. Our Nigerians seem to be interested in the Church. They are really cool and really good at soccer so its fun to play. We translated for them at church when they came. Elder Murray and I will be together for another 6 weeks so thats good. There was some more drama going on in the branch so thats always cool...not. But its alright i will take all the crap in the world because he have some great investigators. One kid is 20 and he is really cool. But we will see about everything. Whats going on? Same old here in Ukraine. The weather is fetching crazy though. It will be hot and then out of no where rain comes in and storms the place. But for the most part its pretty warm and end up sweating alot. Last week our hot water was off for 6 days so that was pretty fun. Haha i am glad that mom sent me some wet wipe things. Cold though washing my hair. But it was a good day when the hot water came on. Finally hit the old year mark. Haha didnt do much for it. I burned a shirt in our little "grill" outside at night so that was cool. Thats good that Gavin likes Zeke. I cant wait to get back and get my dog. :) And my truck. Haha yea good luck with that 3d thing. That is good that Makenna is slaying at swimming. Haha teach her how to run fast though. That would be nuts to go to Uganda. So yesterday we had 2 nigerians with us at church so that was pretty sweet. They are pretty big guys so it was quite an entrance when we went in. Haha also almost threw down with another guy. :) Fetch yea baby. Haha we were waiting for the Nigerians to go to church with them when these kids started yelling at us from this tank thing. We just figured they were drunk and we were just minding our business just reading the book of mormon. Then one kid comes up and is saying the only swear word i know in russian at us and is like "why are you here americans go home. This is our ukraine what did you forget here?" Stuff like that. I dont even know how this guy knew we were Americans we didnt even say anything. But then he tried to punch my comp so i jumped up and like started yelling at him. Haha he then tried to punch me and thankfully again my Jason Bourne powers came back. I didnt punch him though because he was drunk. I could have destroyed him though. But yea i ended up shoving him into a punch and then that was that. Haha all before church too. :) But the smoker lady is doing good i guess. She says she is smoking less but still hasnt comptely quit. Zone Leader stuff is going good. I am going to Dnepr on Thursday for the meeting thing. So that will be cool. Other than that though nothing is really going on. Elder Murray and i will be together another transfer. 6 weeks. Tell Grandpa Staheli i got his letter and thanks. We dont eat alot of sour kraut though. I dont think i ever have. I dont know what i want to do when i get back home. I know i want to go to Summer School and will probably just do that at Dixie State but i dont know about after that. I need to figure out if i want to play football any where is the thing. Haha yea good luck with that 3d thing. That is good that Makenna is slaying at swimming. Haha teach her how to run fast though. That would be nuts to go to Uganda. So yesterday we had 2 nigerians with us at church so that was pretty sweet. They are pretty big guys so it was quite an entrance when we went in. Haha also almost threw down with another guy. :) Fetch yea baby. Haha we were waiting for the Nigerians to go to church with them when these kids started yelling at us from this tank thing. We just figured they were drunk and we were just minding our business just reading the book of mormon. Then one kid comes up and is saying the only swear word i know in russian at us and is like "why are you here americans go home. This is our ukraine what did you forget here?" Stuff like that. I dont even know how this guy knew we were Americans we didnt even say anything. But then he tried to punch my comp so i jumped up and like started yelling at him. Haha he then tried to punch me and thankfully again my Jason Bourne powers came back. I didnt punch him though because he was drunk. I could have destroyed him though. But yea i ended up shoving him into a punch and then that was that. Haha all before church too. :) But the smoker lady is doing good i guess. She says she is smoking less but still hasnt comptely quit. Zone Leader stuff is going good. I am going to Dnepr on Thursday for the meeting thing. So that will be cool. Other than that though nothing is really going on. Elder Murray and i will be together another transfer. 6 weeks. Tell Grandpa Staheli i got his letter and thanks. We dont eat alot of sour kraut though. I dont think i ever have. I dont know what i want to do when i get back home. I know i want to go to Summer School and will probably just do that at Dixie State but i dont know about after that. I need to figure out if i want to play football any where is the thing. Bowling with the Sisters and Keeping them happy

Well I survived another week here in my beloved Ukraine. I seriously love this place so much even though sometimes it sucks. :) Sorry had to say that word. But i am glad that the package made it to you. It got there pretty fast i think. Haha it is always good to go with a ukranian to a post office here. The good thing about here is that there are no gnats haha. That is cool that Kent got married. Tell him i say good job. Glad that the CD made it though. I dont know how many pictures on there are of me but Elder Carter said he put alot on of Zap so you can at least see it. Haha and the thing of me and the kids Shoulders is us being Goliath. I am just saying that i want to eat food. That is cool that Kipp is going on a mission though. Love that kid. I am getting better at writing in my journal. Almost every night. Odessa is right by Nikolaev so i know where it is but thanks anyways. :)Thats good about work being so good for you. . Elder Murray and i saw this guy getting the crap kicked out of him the other day and that was fetching nuts. It was quite a bit a ways from us but it was crazy. We like didnt know what to do. Crazy though. Nothing really else has happend around here though lately. Our investigator is still smoking so she cant get baptized yet but we are still working with her. WE played soccer against some kids last week and we beat them so that was good. Haha it is pretty frustrating though because none of the other elders have ever played before but we still won. The sisters are still going crazy well one is. She is so fetching annoying. Haha we did go bowling with them today so that was good i guess :). Vatalee is still awesome. Haha good luck with the people calling like they said they would. Haha if all the people said they would come to church or english then i would be teaching everyday all day. Prayer is definetly the key to a good day. My companion and i have some pretty funny prayers at nights that i am sure Heavenly Father laughs with us. Everything is going good though for me. Well its been a while since we have talked. Haha nothing new has gone on since yesterday especially since today is Preparation Day. We went and ate pizza which is really different from american pizza and definelty isnt Papa Johns in Peru. Good to get a good sports up date. I cant believe that Favre still wants to play. Haha that is cool though i guess. Old man still has it i guess. That is crazy about that kid making more money than Tom Brady. How is his knee? I forgot you were building a shed and stuff. Haha i cant believe Max is no longer alive. As soon as i asked i knew he had gotten hit. I think you should get another inside dog. Not a loud annoying one though. Happy Ukranian Labor Day last weekend. Haha i hope you enjoyed it The Skype thing i was talking about was putting money onto my skype account thing. I dont know how to do it but yea if you could do that i would appreciate it. Thanks for putting money into my other account. That is funny about Skylar doing that. Haha i hope that none of my friends change or go all weird after the mission. Haha i am not going to come back all weird and stuff so yea dont worry about that. It is weird to me that i will talk to you on sunday and probably will call actually tomorrow for the test call. So if you could put that money on the skype account today so i can call home or someone to tell them to get on skype so we can test it. Haha fetch that is so nuts. I am scared to call home. Haha oh well. Who is in the East in basketball? How is team Lebron doing? That is funny that lena found bree on facebook. She told me that she had found i think even Natalie but i dont know if she has talked to her. Technology is so crazy. The Zone Leader thing is going good. I gave my talk about being a good example and then talked about teaching examples from the book of mormon. Thanks for the email from Coach Miller. I just emailed him back. The word of wisdom is probably the hardest for the to live. They are just so used to smoking and drinking. Haha the other day we were over at her house and we stole her cigarettes going out the door. It was funny. Also we drank some nasty gas/mineral water. It is so nasty. It tasted like salt water that was carbonated. So gross. Like seriously i didnt think there would be such girl probablys on my mission. They are mad because nobody wanted to go bowling with them and then they just went off about other things. Hey,
Well another week has come and gone here and nothing to exciting really. We had Zone Conference last week so that was good. And yes i am a zone leader here. Fetch i didnt want you to know that is why i didnt tell you. Haha i didnt think President would tell you though. The reason though i didnt want you to know is because people seem to base the success of a missionary by baptisms and leadership positions. And i dont want people to think i am a good missionary just because i am a Zone Leader. But yea i am and i was pretty surprised about it because i havent even been out for a year and the rest of the Zone Leaders are getting ready to go home. All a Zone Leader does is the other companionships report to the district leader then the district leader calls the Zone Leader and then once a week i talk to the APs about what is going on in the zone. Just little things like that. Its not that cool. But my companion is still younger than me though so i am glad about that. I had a to give a talk in Zone Conference and that went well i guess. I just made things up like usual off the top of my head. Well i had some notes but nothing concrete or however you spell that. I had to translate for President Abraham last week as well on an interview and that was probably the scariest thing of my mission. Went well but still scary. Dennis has been around for a while. We started working with him like 3 months ago and have been slaying him. He is going to America in 2 weeks though. He is so cool though. He lives with his mom and grandparents though but he is really well off. One of the richer ukranians i know. We will still Skype though. This time i think without the camera though. I dont know though. My companions internet doesnt work at home so he is going to call from my account. So yea if you could put money on it i would appreciate it. Tell Grandma Staheli thanks for the package. Elder Sessions is from North Ogden. My shoes are doing good though. I have been wearing one pair ever since i got into country so i can save the others. Do you know if there is a guarantee if the inside of the shoe goes bad? We taught this lady the word of wisdom last week who has been smoking for 28 years so that is going to be hard for her to quit. That is the only thing though holding her back from baptism though. The weather today though is warm so that is good. We have our windows open trying to warm our apartment up. But yea nothing to cool going on like i said. Hope everything is going well for you.

Well its monday again and a little bit later than normal. We had a lesson todays and so we didnt get a chance to email until now but i sent some pictures so yea hope you liked those. My trainers name is mitchell sessions so he is home and such so hopefully he calls sometime. Yea the youth thing is getting better. Every once in a while we met some really cool kids that make the rest of the bad ones go away. Its like that alot giving at stuff though to. Some days people are fetching mean but then one person is really nice and takes a book or something and its makes up for the rest. I just try to do my best and not worry about it. . Tell Grandma Staheli i got the package and thank her with a hug for me. It was great. That is good Jared is finishing his eagle. Tell Jani hello for me. Those GI Joe things are way sweet. I remember playing with those things with like Josh Mangold and Kolton and Braxten. So i have a new companion though. His name is Elder Murray from Flordia. He was in my district the last two transfers but now he is my companion and so i am the senior companion though. So i am pretty scared about that but whatever. The only thing i am scared about is the language. Yesterday was Easter here so there were alot of people outside. Nobody really wanted to talk to us though. We saw a fight so that was nuts. Good not to be in it. But people go around and say "Jesus is Resurrected" And to reply you say "He really was" So that was pretty fun to do that. People are just crazy though. Go Penguins! The picture with me and the other two kids is my new companion and one of our investigators named dennis. We went and ate at his house today and stuffed us with food. Seriously Ukranians think it is so funny to make us full and sick. Like seriously i wanted to puke. But at least its good. Nothing else really exciting has gone on though lately. The english thing where we passed out like 3000 english invites pretty much failed. We had like 10 people come and sign up. But whatever. You can only do so much. Well hope everything is going well and sorry this is late. Hope you werent freaking out about it. :)

All Ten Hours

Hey,
Well it was conference weekend here and it was really good. I think it was the first time my entire life i have watched all 10 hours of conference. Haha and now i know why. Just kidding. It was really good. We got to watch it in English as well so that was really good. All of the talks slayed. (slayed means really good). There were alot of talks about temples and how important they were. Also they seemed to stress the eternal aspect of this life. Priesthood Session was amazing. I also liked how when they sang we thank thee oh God for a prophet the showed pictures of President Monson. It was really good. Sounds the picnic was good like usual. Way to win in football. Last week we didnt go to the island. We played football against the other elders and we won in that but we lost in frisbee. So today we are having a rematch against them. The weather here is pretty warm now but they turned off the heat to our apartment so it is colder in there than it is outside. The winter wasnt nearly as cold as i thought it would be. At least for me. I got lucky and was in the south of the country for most of the winter so it wasnt to bad for me at all. But the other parts of the country seem really cold. There were two baptisms here on friday so that was awesome to see. Transfers are this week and my companion is getting transfered. I am pretty sure i know what is going on with me but i dont want to say and be wrong. So ill tell you next week. Haha transfers are just like a big games trying to figure everything out. Good times. Who won basketball? That is still so weird that "Luke" wants to be called Luke. Oh well. Doesnt bother me. And Easter here is a huge holiday. It is this sunday. And everyone here is provaslovknee which is a break off from the catholics so they go crazy for it. Nothing really exciting has been going on here though. The teenagers still make me mad because they are so worthless. WE were walking home the other night when some kids just threw their cigarettes at us. I wanted to go kick the crap out of them but we just kept walking. They are so gay. Haha anyways after that though my trainer called to tell me goodbye because he was going home today so that made me feel alot better to talk to him. I told him to call you and tell you when his homecoming is so hopefully he does. We have been trying this new english thing where we hand out thousands of invitations and then we have a registration for it but so far only 3 people have come for it and we only have 2 more days left of registration. So hopefully tons will come. Getting to the island though doesnt take a boat. There are bridges but it takes us like 30 minutes to get there because its far from our area. But it was way sweet. Yea people not showing up for lessons is really annoying. What kind of questions did those people ask the ambassador? I guess ukraine is number 3 on the financal support from America. Israel and Egypt are above Ukraine. Well everything is going well here except for the kids making me mad but ill get over it. Haha. Love you and hope everything goes well for you.

Haha well at least this time i knew that it was actually general conference and i didnt get surprised like i did last time. I think we are watching them next week. I wish though we could watch it at our apartment haha. I have heard about that forever strong show. Elder Stilson my last companion was actually in it somewhere. He was one of the players. So he would tell me about it and i would just make fun of him. Haha. Transfer calls are this week so we will see what happens with what. We went to the island again this week for a youth activity and it was pretty sweet. Elder Steadman and i have a Algerian friend that we took with us so it was cool. We cant teach him though because he is Muslim and is from a muslim country. But oh well. I think there are going to be 2 baptisms this weekend so that is always good. One of them i talked to her and set the lesson up with her but the other elders taught her so its cool. I guess that assist is as good as scoring right? Good to get a sports update. Keeps the world going round. Nothing to exciting though went on last week. 4 of our lessons last week the people didnt know up. That is like the worst because its throws off the rest of the day. Haha you go from having a lesson to street contacting for 2 hours. But whatever. Some weeks we have alot of lessons and others not so many. More lessons here then there were in Nikolaev. So we passed out a lot of english so hopefully we get a ton of people coming to it.The teenagers here continue to annoy me and almost started something with Elder Steadman yesterday. They are so worthless. It was 4 in the afternoon and were already drunk. We see people drinking at like 9 in the morning sometimes. Such a waste of life. We are going back to the island today with just the missionaries and are going to play sports and stuff and just chill. It will be cool so i am excited for that. I cant believe that it is almost April. That is so crazy to me. Haha and yesterday was Day Light Savings here so now its lighter at nights which is awesome. In winter it would get dark here at like 3:30. Good job in finishing the book. Its a tough one. I have read the first 3 chapters of the one by Elder Maxwell but my head hurt after it hah. So good luck. The book i want is Modern Russian. I dont have it. I dont know what book you are talking about that you sent to me. I have only gotten the dicttionary which is amazing so thanks again for it. The island is just a place where the ancient ukrainians used to have their base or something like that. I am not exactly sure but its probably about the only touristy thing in the city. We went there because he wanted to cook us chicken over a fire and just to hang out. It was fun. Tht is funny about Makenna going to the temple with prince eric. Of course i remember what ROUS stands for. Rodents Of Unusual Size. We were just quoting that movie the other day. I didnt know you were putting a shed in. Thats cool. Wait is there no more sod? Is it just Hay now? I got that package of food last week and it was awesome so thanks for that and the pictures. The people here are nicer and will talk with you but the people in nikolaev are just cool. Vitalee is awesome. So Elder Murray and i were on exchanges last week and we went to a university to go talk to an english class and we walked in to the building and i felt like i was in high school again. Haha and all the girls were just staring at us when we first walked into the class room. It was really fun. I met a black guy yesterday from sudan here. He was probably the darkest person i have ever seen my entire like. No joke either. Yes i have been to McDonalds here. Only 2 times though. Well hope all is well for you. Until next week. Well another week gone by. Today was really fun for our p-day we went to the island and one of our investigators who is 18 cooked us some amazing chicken over a fire and such. It was so fun and tasty. Haha everyone almost died though i swear it was so funny. Haha we peed off of the biggest bridge though. It was awesome. Thats to bad about Utah State losing by one. My comp loves Utah State. Haha that is way cool about Makenna skiing. But why skiing? You should just start her off on a snowboard. She would probably go pro if she did that. :) Good to hear that she didnt cry when she face planted it. So we went to this English class at a university and there were only 7 girls in the class with the teacher. They were like what kind of girls do you like and asked if we drank and stuff. Haha we just pulled out our pictures and said we like girls like this who dont drink. Haha shut them up pretty quick. The APs were down here and they said that President made some kind of mistake with me so i dont know what that means or whatever but hopefully i will still go senior. If not then oh well. There are 2 branches here. The city is divided by a river so 4 elders in ours and 4 in theres. And the Sisters and Carters go back and forth.I think my companion is leaving though because this is his 4th transfer here in Zap. We played american football in a park by a walk way and people were just standing and watching us. It was funny because they had never seen anything like it before. We talked to this one really nice lady who said she would come to church but then again they all say they will do that. . Well nothing to exciting to report on. I am almost done with my first journal though so mom you should be proud. I try to write two times a week. I was reading when i was in the MTC last night and i was seriosly laughing out loud. I was so cheesy. I gave a member jesus the christ and he said his wife would translate it for him. I just laughed and told him good luck. I didnt even understand that thing. All is Well
Hey
Well everything is going well over here. Vatalee got ordained a priest yesterday so that was awesome. There is so much priesthood in this branch compared to Nikolaev. So that was cool. Vitalee was probably as golden as people come. We taught him 6 weeks before he was baptized. The thing that got Vatlee though was a cartoon thing from the kids section in the liahona about Joseph Smith knowing he was going to die but still went to Carthage. That is what gave him his testimony about that You can see the difference in his countance and how he acts since we first met us. Ukraine is just crazy about being loved and stuff or even being helped. I asked some guy if he wanted help carrying a stroller and he freaked out at me but they all do that so i dont really care anymore. I thought Michael was getting his license? Is Brents business just the ones in Vegas and Salt Lake? One of the things i miss the most is just being able to hang out with kids and not being rushed all of the time. The other is probably sports. But you are two just figured that was a given. We have a frig. Our apartment is about the same as the one in nikolaev. I hope i can go back there someday. The biggest difference is probably the people. Here they are nice and there they were cool if that makes sense.The YSA thing is going alright. The members pretty much ruined it though because they are crazy here. All the members think that the church is theirs. Alot of drama goes on around here. There are suppose to be 2 baptisms this week from the sisters but i dont know if that is going to go through or not. Transfers were last week so i am here still. I will probably be here for a while i think anyways. I got two packages last week. Thanks for those. Grandma Hukill as well. They are awesome. The sports thing were awesome to get as well. That is crazy the coach never punted. The talk by Don is good. Well all is well here. Nothing new really. Oh yea tell Bree to read the feb 08 ensign about dating. :)

Yes, A BAPTISM
Hey,
Well another week gone and a new month started. Last week was awesome and Vatalee got baptized on saturday and confirmed on Sunday. Elder Carter baptized him and i did the confirmation. It was the scariest thing i have ever done. But it was by far the best weekend of my mission and possible my life. Seeing him come out of the water was awesome. He is so cool and will be an awesome member. I dont need that book. Haha i hope i am not a beginner because i have been out in country for 7 months. Plus that Modern Russian is coming and going to be good. Thanks for the money Kay and grandpa and the package grandma Staheli and Hukill. You guys are awesome and my new ties look sweet. :) Mom if you want me to get that package you need to send it today or tomrrow. If not then i probably wont get it until April. FYI. But any food things like can be made in like 5 minutes or whatever. Just know i apprecitate everything that is sent. The weather here is fetching cold. It changes so fast from warm to cold. We almost had to do the baptism in the river but they sent us a Portable Baptismal Font. It was cool. Our cook lady only comes on tuesdays and she is a member. She just cooks a ton of food so it last for a while. But yes punching those kids was crazy. It was pretty much instinct. Haha i kind of felt like jason bourne because i blocked one and dodge another than punched. Haha crazy. Who is Casey? Teenagers here are probably the most worthless people in the world to be honest with you. They dont work and just drink and smoke. They bug the crap out of me. Vitalee though works at a factory and the other guy doesnt work. Vatalee says he has his job because he is the best checkers player though. Its so funny. Well life goes on. Honesty is the best Policy
Hey,
Well i am officially an old man. I woke up on my birthday and thought i
could see grey hairs. Oh well. It was a good day. Haha well i am going to be
honest with you two. The fight was alot bigger than i made it seem. I told
Michael the whole thing but either you didnt send it to him or he fetching didnt
write me back. And tell him if he didnt write me back that is dumb of him and i
am angry with him right now. Haha i have debated or not whether i was going to
tell you everything or not but i figure you should know. So just read the email
that i sent michael and that will tell you everything. :) Haha hopefully Dad you
will be proud of it because where i did punch. Dont worry though everything is
all good. I cant wait to get home and act the whole thing out. Makes it better.
I just had a thought. Maybe Dad you should read it first and decide if Mom
should know. :) My companion didnt play sports in high school so yea it was
pretty much just me against them. Just ask questions and i will answer them next
week. So i was really confused at first when i started reading the email. It
really did take me a second to figure it was Dad first. That is good Preston is
finally gone. I know who Nick Draper is. I played football with him on the
cowboys. I think so anyways. Not sure about John Paul though. Maybe if i saw a
picture. Sounds like everything is going well there with the business and such.
Who takes all of the phone calls now? Zap is going alright. It is probably the
dirtest city in the world but its alright. There is alot of drama with the
branch here though. I swear if the missionaries werent here everyone would go
apostate. We pretty much eat the same here. I havent had boursch though for a
while. Its like a watery soup. We dont really cook for ourselves though we have
a little lady that does for us. That is crazy about Zach Taylor. I will send
shopkas later. That one i was wearing isnt mine. I am going to get the biggest
one in the world though. There isnt a walmart here though. Oh transfers coming
up soon so if you want that package to have a chance to get to me soon you need
to send it soon. Tell grandma Staheli thanks for the package. Good stuff in it.

running in. He isnt the most athletic guy but he tried and it was awesome to be
there are support him. I ran with him and another elder after the thing and i
sprinted a couple times and man was a sick after. Haha it was ridiculous. I am
not slow or anything but just being sick after running just a little bit made me
feel bad. Haha it was crazy because before we went inside everybody who was
suppose to run was outside smoking and drinking. Guess it works better than
gatorade. That is something you could send me though. I finished Day of Defense
so now i am ready to bash with people. Well sounds like everything is going well
over there. I love you guys. And just know everything good and i am safe. :)

Holy Fetch- I'm going to be 20!!
Hey,
Holy Fetch i am going to be 20 this week. Haha i seriously feel like i am still 14 or 15. I think about it and i think this is the 2nd year in a row i havent been with you mom or dad. Its all good though. I wont get the package until the beginning of march most likely. But its ok. I will just go buy myself a new tie or something and say its from you guys. Sounds like everything went well with the baby blessing and what not. How much did Don have to do with the open house? I dont know what kind of food though that i want. Just send like stuff like takes like 2 ingredients and stuff like that. We actually found a store here that sells skippy peanut butter so i am good with that. Thats good about bree and her like "Boyfriend" or whatever he is. Does he play sports? Where is he from? Vatalee is amazing. He is 35 and single and the most humble person i know. He is "unoffically" on date for baptism. Hopefully the end of the month though he will get baptized. He said he can remember checkers games that he played 10 times ago and everything about them. Its crazy. He is awesome. He comes to church every week. I dont really see President any more than before. Everything is fine though. It pretty much is a factory city. With no mountains or anything. the city has about 1 million people in it. There really arent mountains anywhere in ukraine except for the krem. Last week though was actually very intersting though. Dont be worried or anything like that everything is alright. But me and my companion got into a fight last week. We were just walking down the street and these kids started fighting us. I punched 2 of them. Haha seriously too. I have never punched anyone before in my life and i did on my mission. I looked up our house on the church website and showed some members and the other missionaries. Its like a google earth thing. It was crazy. Everyone thought it was funny that we didnt have any neighbors or anything else around us. The members though were pretty impressed with the swimming pool though. Earlier today the other elders came over and with my companion played this card game called "Magic". I just made fun of them the whole time. I could not stoop that low and play it. I remember kids playing that during lunch at high school. No way i will ever play it. I bought a pull up bar though that i use every night. Thats about the only thing new though. I havent been to McDonalds yet here. I dont know where it is. This city has about 1 million people in it or more. I know aaron spendlove but we just called him AJ. Thats good he is going on a mission. I got the package with the 3 shirts that i probably will give them all to BoBa because they are huge for me. I dont wear XL FYI. Thanks for those though and the Dictionary. Dad that story was really funny. Also will you send actually food things instead of candy when you do it. Candy is good but food is better. Thank you for all of the stuff though. :) I still dont understand how the franchise works. I dont see how you make money on it if Brent and Mike set it all up. Who is the "big pinecone" as they would say in russian? We have a cleaning lady that cooks for us once a week and we just eat that. Its really good for the most part and a lot of it. I would kill for there to be a dennys here. Our investigator Vatalee is doing well. He is amazing at checkers are we even played without looking once and still won. He could even do every move that happend in the game. It was amazing. He is amazing and really humble. We bought him new sport shoes the other day because his got stolen. Haha and FYI i played for the 8th grade team when i was in 7th grade. Just so you didnt forget. YOu should go snowboarding with Tyson sometime. He would love it. Same old though going on here. Who is the "big pinecone" as they would say in russian? We have a cleaning lady that cooks for us once a week and we just eat that. Its really good for the most part and a lot of it. I would kill for there to be a dennys here. Our investigator Vatalee is doing well. He is amazing at checkers are we even played without looking once and still won. He could even do every move that happend in the game. It was amazing. He is amazing and really humble. We bought him new sport shoes the other day because his got stolen. Haha and FYI i played for the 8th grade team when i was in 7th grade. Just so you didnt forget. YOu should go snowboarding with Tyson sometime. He would love it. Same old though going on here. Russian is coming along and all is well. Oh yea in the next package will you send some pictures of me like playing football and just pictures before my mission and stuff. Gross tasting dirty snow flake!!
Hey Family,
Last week seemed like a long week for me as well. The weeks in Nikolaev went fast because i knew when everything was at all of that so it went fast but i am still trying to get used to everything here so hopefully time will pick up again. The senior couple here does not speak russian. We have to translate for them. We are teaching this way awesome guy named vatalee who is the city and region checkers champion. He is so cool. That is funny that Makenna knows Taylor Swift. You can just mail the Helaman Army letters with packages and stuff. Put Gavin on his feet and tell him to walk. Getting around here is the same. Walking and public transportation. My apartment is alot older than my other apartment was. But its alright. The shower is better so that makes up for everything in my opinion. Haha most people in the mission are from Utah is the funny thing. But what do you expect. I havent heard anything about BoBa or anything so i dont know whats going on. He was a little Butt before i left so i dont know whats going on. I havent bought anymore winter clothes since being here. The only clothing i buy is ties. Nothing to cool has been going on around here. It was snowing the other day while we were outside signboarding and the snow flakes were the biggest i have ever seen. I ate one and it was so gross. This is a very dirty city. I got one package today because it was Zone conference. We had a lesson with a 82 year old guy who was going crazy. He said Peter the Great came in the middle of the night. Haha so yea it was interesting. Where is Aaron living? I havent written him a letter because i knew he was getting out so i need his new address. Tell him i say hey though. Dad what do you do with the franchising? Tell Tyson i say hey. . My companion and i get along good. We are different from each other but we get along which is good. In a new City, Zaparozha-or something like that
Hey Family,
Well i survived another week here in Ukraine. Nothing to exciting except for the fact that i am in a new city. I am in a city called Zaparozha or something like that in english. I am 2 hours south of Dnepr. I am way stoked to be here though because we have like 10 investigators. Its took my companion (whose name is Elder Steadman from Sandy) 45 minutes to tell me about all of the investigators that we have. So it was pretty exciting to here about it all. The senior couple here is really awesome and they help out with the work alot. They have big plans for here which is awesome. There is alot more teaching done here than finding and stuff which is a big change for me. So i am really excited to be here even though i miss Nikolaev. Packing fetching was terrible but i got it all in and everything. That place is so awesome. But i took a 9 hours train ride that felt like an eternity. I was with 2 other elders. I felt like i was sitting in a prison cell. But it was cool to be on a train. Do you know if Kipp is planning on a mission or what he is doing? That is cool Don has an article in the ensign. I will probably write him a letter sometime soon. Yesterday at church was really awesome because i understood so much of what was being said. It is amazing how just moving to another city has changed how much i understand. Like i seriously was amazed. There is a greenie here so its cool to see the progression from where i was to where i am now. Even though its still hard but still. The weather is warmer today and not to bad. Thanks for finally telling me about my car. I am not expecting to be seeing any of that money from drew to be honest with you. Haha oh well. Thanks for putting and taking care of all of my money stuff. And i call opening a franchise in hawaii. Well good luck with it all. Haha. Is Tyson still working for you? Who is taking all of the calls and stuff now? Everything is going good here. I still write in my journal even though its only once a week. Another Girl?
Hey,
Well congrats to Janalyn and Bryan. I seriously forgot that she was pregant. Oops. But thats cool. Another girl though? To bad for Bryan. Just kidding. That is good the snow is starting to melt. It hasnt ever really snowed here thankfully. It has a little bit but nothing to major. Haha that picture is was cold and i dont know if you could tell or not but the river behind me the River is frozen over and people are walking around and doing all sorts of crazy stuff out there. Its pretty nuts. Yes that is the modern russian book that i was talking about. And the dictionary is by Kenneth Katzner. It is american english and russian. I fetching hate british english so much. I dont know if i told you or not but i finished Jesus the Christ a while back. It is full of knowledge. I cant believe Preston went to the game the lucky punk. Haha. That would be so awesome and i am so glad they are at least number 2. I had a nice sports talk with an American (looking for a wife) at Mcdonalds the other day. Definetly been a while since i had one of those. And the Black family is a girl who lives by Psycho lady who drives a Bug. So if you still do work for Psycho lady tell the girl hi and talk to her. Her name is Tahna. You can check my bank account online. I cant remember the password or anything like that but i think my pin for it is 1818 or something like that if you want to try to reset the password. So we went carolling this week with some of the young women from the branch and it was pretty cool. We went on the "tracks" and sand and went to members houses. It was cool. Then we also did service and a members house and pulled off wall paper and did that stuff. Its a good thing that i know how to do all of the stuff because if i had never done it and didnt know to put water on it we would have been there forever. Thank goodness for One Call Solutions. :) Transfer calls arent until this friday so i will know next week if i am or not. Haha trying to figure out where people are going and that stuff is like March Madness and the bracket. Its all guesses and its fun. We went over to BoBas house for dinner last week and that was pretty cool. Had to eat some weird stuff but i got it down. It is crazy because here you dont talk over dinner. We would try to talk to his family and they would just tell us to eat and not talk. It was pretty funny. Also saw some drunk guy fall flat on his face in the middle of the street. It is pretty pathetic how people get drunk here. Whatever though. So is my car still mine or what is going on with that? Well thats about all that is going on over here. Still cold. About 30 degrees or less for the high everyday. Well love you guys. See ya.Elder Hukill

Utah kicks Butt
Hey,
Fetch Yea Utah kicks butt. I bought a red and white tie last week and i wore it on friday in honor for the game. Nothing beats reading that they just kicked the crap out of a SEC team. Haha even though it happend probably while i was sleeping but i did show my support from the Ukraine. New Years was pretty crazy here. We had to be in by 5 on the 31 and the 1st. I wasnt planning on waking up for 12 but the other elders called and so i got up and watched the fireworks. There were so many and they were all the ones that shoot up and blow up and they were every where! The sky was just flashing for like a half hour. Then the next day we went out about 9 and it was like I Am Legend because there was nobody outside. The first person though i saw said Happy New Years too and he just freaked and was like " I desire women, money and success for you this next year". It was awesome. New Years here is the biggest holiday for the year for them. Haha yea dont complain to me about waking up early. It fetching is so hard everyday. I forgot Jani was having a baby. Haha is it a boy or girl? Whats its name? BoBa wasnt baptized again. I dont know if i will still be around here when he does get baptized. I am pretty sure i am getting transfered but that is in 2 and a half weeks. I am kind of nervous for then. Haha i love nikolaev so much. Will you send the Day of Defense book? I think it is in my room. And Modern Russian. I forgot my planner at home which has the name of the dictionary i want too. Also will you tell Grandma Staheli to send more cinnamion and sugar nuts like she did before. Thanks. Tell Preston i say hey and i miss the Truffle Shuffle. I write Aaron and he writes back but i dont know if i should send him another letter if he wont be there to get it. I will just wait so tell him that when you talk to him and give me his new address. Our gas is still going as far as i know so yea i dont know whats going on. I dont read the newspaper. I will send one though next time. My companion got "Dear John"ed last week. He is handling it fine though. First couple of days were rough. I am glad that i dont have a girlfriend out here. Its just stupid to have one girl that says she will "wait" for you. Haha bull crap! Hows it going? Everything is going good here. Nothing to exciting has happend in the last couple of days. Fetch that phone call went by so fast it was crazy. If my mission goes by that fast i will be home in no time. Sounds like the weather is pretty nuts over there. The rest of Christmas was good and our lesson went well. My trainer who is now the AP was in town and he stayed with us for 2 days. So it was really good to hang out with him again. Still cold here but what else is new about that. I cant believe Drew fetching ruined the engine. Good to hear my Baby is running again though. I didnt get to tell my story about our christmas eve party. It was so awesome. We had the sisters the senior couple and sergej and BoBa over to our apartment for dinner. Our land lady made us so much food. We are still eating it. Seriously so much. It was really awesome. We read the native chapter from the bible and then i had Sister Orr the senior sister, read the littlest angel. She even got all choked up like you mom. It was so fun and was really good especially for sergij because he doesnt have a family to do that kind of stuff with. I found a modern russian here and i cant remember the name of the other one right now. I will next week though. But i guess they stopped sending english ensigns so the conference edition would be nice. As well as those Helaman army things from however many months. Who is the QB for the Eagles? BoBa said he wanted a University of Utah shirt so if you could send one that would be appreciated. I hope they win or at least do well. That would be so crazy if you got put into the stake center. That would be nice though so you wouldnt have to drive as far. That would mean dennis would be released then right? Did that tie i sent for braxten ever make it to him? I have everything that i need now to be able to talk to you and see you and everything on Thursday so it will be good. It was just funny to call home the first time. Haha i could tell that you had to idea who it was. Made me laugh and i am actually still laughing about it right now. I cant believe how much snow there is there.
